It is so hard to find vintage Stratton powder compacts with an equestrian theme. This 1950s Stratton 'Scone' compact is delightful as an elegant Thoroughbred horse graces the lid. This is such a charming vanity as the horse's intelligent & kind nature is captured perfectly. The lid is satinized & very beautiful.The compact is in remarkably good condition considering it is over sixty years old. The original pouch, puff & sifter are in place. The interior case gleaming & clean. The compact is signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. The base has the fine spiral that is seen on the 'Scone' model.

This rare & highly collectible vintage compact mirror measures 3" wide & weighs 44 grams.
