We are offering this very pretty Opaque Glass and Silver Plated Table Lamp with new shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge, Peaky Blinders etc. lampshades. We say that it is rare because the glass changes colour. When the lamp is lit the glass glows a pale pink, when unlit it is grey. In fluuorescent light it is a pale green.

The base features two opaque glass sections on a silver plated base, with central socle and surmount created as the burner of an oil lamp, although not functional but faux.

The shade is in the Vienna style and has been made in Ivory Damask. It has a 6" cream fringe overlaid with silver and crystal beads, and is finished with a matching cream braid.

The lamp has been rewired with silver braided fabric covered flex and has all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder, shade carrier and plug. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of base: 5 3/4" 14.5cm

Condition: Very good. The silver plate is in very good condition and there is no damage to the glass. The shade is new.
