A very rare early 20th Century copper jug advertising the Horlicks drinks company. This is a superb copper jug, presented in lovely condition. There is a folding carrying handle, and attractive brass hinge detail with copper riveted fixings. The enamel Horlicks name plate is in excellent condition and is typical of the style of advertising graphics used in the early 20th Century. We believe that this jug was not widely available,but made especially for decorative and promotional purposes in the new Horlicks Factory which opened in Slough in 1906.A beautiful and unusual decorative item.
