We are offering this lovely and very tall pair of Gilt Metal and blown Glass Table Lamps and Brocade Shades by the makers of the Downton Abbey film and TV series shades.

The lamps feature ornate square bases, with inward scrolling feet and a cherubic angel mask on each side. The blown glass body is in ivory and gold, with an overlaid applique of a leaf and scroll design.

The shades are in gold brocade, with a soft gold, long fringe, with gold and ivory coloured beaded tassels, the whole finished with matching gold braid..

The lamps have been completely rewired with pale gold fabric covered braided flex and have all new fittings, including safer switched lampholder, plug and shade carrier. As with all electtrical items, it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 33 inches - 83.8cm

Diameter of shade: 15 inches - 38cm

Base: 7 inches - 17.75cm square

Condition: Very good. One of the bases is in perfect condition and there appears to have been some slight historic restoration to the socle on the other, although it may have been in the manufacture. Both appear to be perfectly solid. The shades are new.
