Oriental carved and laquered two fold screen.
This beautiful screen comprises of two panels, each richly decorated with carved birds, branches, foliage etc in relief on a black ground with dark red painted border, the back of each panel is decorated with trees etc, painted in black on a dark red ground. The frame itself is intricately carved with birds etc.
Other than a couple of very minor losses, not apparent and definitely nothing to detract from the beauty of the screen itself, this really is a stunning piece and the photos do not do it justice.
