Description: Antique Louis XIV Neapolitan chest of drawers in walnut burl with rosewood inserts.

The walnut burl surface plays on the grain and the contrasting chiaroscuro of the various inlays.

The decoration is typical of 18th-century Neapolitan style, with the classic contrasting insert and bronze shield on the lock.

The two corners and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders arranged end-to-end.

The three-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is repeated on the sides, with wedge-shaped sides, a typical feature of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period.

The two cabriolet legs have the classic cabriolet shape and are connected by a mixtilinear apron.

General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional shellac and alcohol hand-applied method.

Origin: Naples, 18th century.
