Sturdy little 18th.c. French oak coffer c.1760. Ideal for use as a hall or window seat with storage. Flat (rather than panelled) top made from three oak boards with cleated ends. Over a chest (internal height 12″) made from inch thick oak boards to all four sides, with an attractively shaped apron to the front and sides. Large decorative steel mount to the front and simple moulded detail to the edges of the stiles. Good condition with later hinges and some replacement floor boards. Good colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 49″, depth 21″, height 22″.
