Good sized late 19th.c. camphorwood campaign chest c.1880. In solid camphorwood a fragrant and pest resistant timber designed to protect the contents during passage. Original flush fitting handle to the lid and sturdy carry handles at the sides. Carved detail to the top of the lid and the front (probably originally brass inlaid) with fleur de lis details to the corners. Some wear, gereally very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 40″, depth 20″, height 19″.
