A rare Georgian pine coffer, or blanket box, on a moulded plinth surround. Typical Georgian panelled construction. Original strap hinges and working lock with key. However we are unable to guarantee the continued working of the lock as the springs can suffer from metal fatigue. Some in fills of wood where necessary, some old worm damage as expected, mainly to the base boards, all treated as a precaution. A beautiful old box, full of character, large storage capacity, wax finish.
