A charming and pretty, late 19th century French bonheur du jour. Of fine construction with stunning kingwood veneers onto a solid mahogany carcas. Decorated throughout with profuse floral marquetry inlay in boxwood and satinwood and further embellished with crisply cast ormolu mounts. The super-structure with a central cupboard (lockable with key supplied) flanked by a pair of drawers. The lower section fitted with its original brown leather writing surface and with 3 drawers to the freeze. The central drawer is lockable (key supplied). The writing surface has some imperfections and if you desire we can have it replaced with a new leather , colour of your choice. This lovely desk is offered for sale in excellent overall condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
