This is a most handsome Chinese urn stand or lamp table of superb quality. The fine table is a substantial piece of a really grand scale for antique tables of this type. If it was made for displaying a vase or urn as often these were then it must have had a massive and most impressive piece upon it.
It is a fine size for a large lamp table also and would look stunning wherever it was placed.
The solid rosewood has a fabulous glowing patina throughout and is skillfully carved. The table surface is inlaid with a substantial rouge marble slab which is in perfect order and has a lovely figured grain and pleasing colour.
The table is a very good size measuring 82 cms in height and 62 cms wide overall, (including the impressive carved head detail.)
UK delivery can be arranged with our local antique furniture courier and costs £55 plus vat.
