Large Barristers Mahogany Pedestal Desk

This is a fine quality Large Barristers Mahogany Pedestal Desk, each of the pedestals has three graduated drawers and the top section also has three drawers across the front and pull out leaves on each side and it breaks down into three for transportation
The desk has aquamarine inset and tooled leather top and on the leaves and the drawers have turned knobs and one is fitted out as a safe
This desk dates from about 1935 it has been made to the highest of standards, one very interesting thing is that it has an internal locking mechanism so that when the centre drawer is locked it in turn locks all but the very bottom 2 drawers
The desk is in very tidy condition and any blemishes are minor
The desk is 64” long, ( and another 26” when both leaves are extended) it is 36” deep, 32” high and the kneehole is 25” x 25”
