This is a very smart early 20th century French Escritiore cabinet in beautiful clean condition dating from around 1900.

The cabinet is inlaid with attractive book matched Kingwood veneers in a stunning sunburst design to the fall front, with chequer banding borders. This has all of its original decorative ormolu mounts and escutcheons and original working lock and key. The figured rouge marble top is in excellent clean condition.

The cabinet has lovely proportions measuring 129 cms in height 57 cms wide by 36 cms deep.
