A stunning mid-19th-century oak partners desk of exceptional quality. One side features nine oak-lined drawers, while the other has two cupboards, offering ample storage. The top is fitted with a newly tooled green leather inset, framed by a thumb-moulded edge, and rests on two sturdy pedestals. Above the two long drawers is a convenient pull-out reading slope, also inset with green tooled leather.Each of the nine drawers is fitted with turned oak handles, maintaining the desk’s cohesive design. The pedestals are set on a plinth base with castors for ease of movement. In excellent original condition, this desk boasts a superb rich patina to the oak and leather, reflecting its fine craftsmanship.
