We have for sale a very attractive art nouveau design large copper 6 pint water jug by the excellent Joseph Sankey and Sons of Wolverhampton.

This very striking decorative copper jug is of a truncated conical form and decorated in repouse in the Lizard skin pattern and marked with the Joseph Sankey Neptune mark to the base along with the number 6. This jug is illustrated in the Joseph Sankey and Sons catalogue of 1910. The Sankey Neptune mark was only used when pieces were destined to be sold by the more exclusive retailers.

The jug is 13.5 inches (34cm) high and 7 inches (17.8cm) wide from spout to handle. The jug is in a very good antique condition with the surface wear one would expect form a copper jug of this period.
