Irish Sewing / Work Table Circa 1830
An Irish rosewood sewing table circa 1830. The top is made from a stunning book leaf matched rosewood - the best I have seen in 40 years.
A single drawer with compartments and a sewing basket beneath with a working lock and key. Sitting on a central column with 4 well carved, elongated hairy paw feet with inset castors. The drawer contains a selection of approx 30 wooden cotton reels. A beautiful piece of furniture with a practical use that would grace any home.
Height - 29"/ 74cm
Top - 17"/43cm x 21.5"/55cm
Top with leaves up - 17"/43cm x 34.5"/88cm All items are checked by our restoration team and any work is sympathetically carried out. Therefore condition is excellent, commensurate with age and items are ready to go straight into the home for immediate use. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or request additional pictures.
