An elegant Regency ebony-lined mahogany drop flap sewing or work table in fine antique condition, which would make a useful lamp or side table for a small space. The table comprises a nicely figured (almost plum pudding in appearance) rectangular top with rounded corners above two drawers with lion mask brass knobs and a sliding frame (from the side) that would once have held a fabric bag, supported on slender turned, tapered legs ending in brass castors.

This is a fine quality table with ebony lines to top and front and ebony edges to table top and drawer fronts. The drawers are oak lined and the top drawer is compartmentalised.

Width open 75 cm (29 1/2 inches)

Condition: Good original condition with wax finish and with all the ebony inlay present. Some marks as you would expect on a well-looked after 200 year old item of furniture. All brassware appears to be original.
