Howard & Son’s Library Revolving Bookcase Table

Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this really very nice and highly collectable Howard & Son’s Berner street Library revolving bookcase table

I have never seen one of these made by Howard before, it is mid Victorian circa 1870, it mahogany, based on a Regency design of course. This piece screams fine English furniture like nothing else, this is a connoisseurs piece. The table has the wonderful original Howard label inside, its also stamped to the base Howard & Son's Berners street and then another stamp with the order number. The castors are also stamped Howard and son's however they have some kind of coating on them and you can barley make it out
We have cleaned waxed and polished it, the revolving action works perfectly, they frame is strong and stable, there will be good honest patination from the last 150+ years of use, some of the spindles are missing, I can have it fully restored and the spindles replaced for the cost price

We have long term storage which is very economically priced, we are happy to hold stock for as long as needed providing it is arranged prior to the purchase.
If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment.

COURIER (LARGE ITEMS ONLY THAT CAN’T BE POSTED)
We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.
We can arrange delivery nationwide, please confirm the delivery amount before you buy and not after.
Whoever delivers will usually require some help on the larger items to unload, if this is not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two man team.
Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etc that's absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10 per flight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additional fee.
I’m happy to accommodate your own courier after a cleared payment has been received, they need to book in a collection time with at least 24 hours notice, all collections must be made within 7 working days of the close of the auction unless agreed by prior arrangement.
