A charming Holophane frosted prismatic glass bell ceiling light.
The rarer frosted finish on the glass shade is stamped around the neck at the top with PAT 20222 -09 HOLOPHANE FRANCE XE 100.
"Holophane" glass refers to the ribbed glass effect and the prismatic texture which are popular for lighting fixtures. It produces a special visual effect that is both elegant and useful.
