A Gwenda milk glass powder jar in excellent condition. The lid shows a romantic scene, a lady in a crinoline dress. The dress, sky, lake & the beau's hat & coat trimmings finely picked out in beautiful foil. This is such a delightful vintage vanity! An ideal present or addition to any vintage vanity/ powder box/foil collection. The powder bowl is gorgeous milk glass in excellent condition. The base of the milk glass powder bowl is marked " 29 A UCB ". The underside of the lid is signed 'Gwenda MADE IN ENGLAND.' An ideal & unusual tin wedding gift as in Britain foil was made from tin around this time. The lid surround is also made from tin. A most gorgeous accessory & such a romantic gift from the age of glamour. This foil powder bowl measures 8 cm wide & 1 1/8 " tall. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
