A rare (and very cute) Art Deco, circa 1925, Schuco Powder Compact Bear. This delightful novelty compact takes the form of a bear with apricot mohair fur, black metal bead eyes and a black stitched nose. He is fully jointed and sits beautifully. He comes in his original box which has 'born 1925' written in the lid and there is a little cotton blanket (possibly made for him at a later date). Please examine the pictures as they show that if you carefully remove his head he opens up to reveal a powder compact.

The bear is in excellent condition with great fur coverage. The integral lipstick is missing. The compact is tarnished but the mirror is in really good condition. The original box - the base of the box is in good condition however the lid of the box has some issues with some damage.
