Antique Georgian Regency mahogany chest of 4 drawers with brushing slide.

Dates from the late 18th or early 19th Century.

This is a beautiful item, with a lovely age and colour.

Solid, heavy with no loose joints and the oak sided drawers slide freely.

Swept bracket feet and later oval brass handles.

Recent claret coloured baize.

Veneered top and front.

Lovely compact proportions and styling, with a great look and full of charm.

This is a heavily patinated chest of drawers that looks and is fantastically old, with a lovely warm mellow dark mahogany colour.

Maximum overall dimensions 880mmW x 560mmD x 875mmH.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, imperfections, scratches, chips, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and desirable for this type of item. There are some historic veneer imperfections and repairs as is common, which adds to the aged charm. No keys and the locks are consequently untested. There are a few historic woodworm holes (believed extinct) that have been treated for good measure. Later quality mahogany drawer bottoms have been fitted.

Please note that this item is heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able-bodied persons for our driver to assist with carrying.
