Georgian Oak Drop-Leaf Handkerchief Table
This lovely small occasional 'handkerchief' table dates from the eighteenth century, but does show signs of later restoration. It has a triangular top with three small drop leaves. The top turns to secure the drop leaves and make the table circular. It is supported on three tall legs terminating in pad feet. Please note that we believe the table to have undergone some restoration at various points in its history. The top may have been replaced at some point.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some signs of restoration, and the top may have been replaced at some point. There are some ring marks to the top. There are some signs of old woodworm to the underneath - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution. There is some cracking, wear and damage to the feet, which have been repaired at some point.
