Georgian Mahogany Wine Cooler or Cellarette
A handsome English George III wine cooler, this fine mahogany and brass piece contains the original lead lined interior and can be lifted from the base.
- Octagonal shape, with eight bottle compartments surrounding an octagonal internal centre space.
- Lead lining in situ.
- Separate base with tapered legs ending in brass feet with castors.
- Brass banding and handles.
This continues to be a functional insulated piece which can be used to keep wine cool or simply to store bottles. It will look fabulous in a period interior.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. No key is available, but the lock is in place.
