An unusual and substantial George III tambour topped desk in good quality figured mahogany. The tambour opens to reveal an interior with 10 pigeonholes above 4 drawers with turned pulls. The pull out slide with brown leather writing surface with blind & gold tooling. The lower section having 2 wide cock beaded drawers above the 2 pedestals each with 3 graduated drawers and brass swan neck handles. The whole raised on moulded plinth bases with oak linings and working locks & keys. Dimensions:- Height…43’’/ 109cm. Width…53.25’’/ 135cm. Depth…27.5’’/ 70cm.
