George III Flame Mahogany Linen Press
This is a fantastic quality antique Mahogany George III two door linen press hanging cupboard, circa 1780 - 1800. The linen press features two exquisite shaped moulded flame mahogany locking door panels which sit below a beautiful protruding Georgian cornice. The top has the original working lock and key and the doors feature its original working key locks. The four oak lined drawers in the base are hand dovetailed. The base also features the original Georgian brass swan neck handles. The linen press features its original mahogany detachable sliding linen trays. The linen press also features the original bracket feet, back and escutcheons.
This item is an excellent investment but also very practical for storage and would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, dining room, hall way or the living room. This item base would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

All oak lined drawers open freely. The upper section has its original mahogany lined linen slides. The working key only operates the doors. There has been a repair inbetween the middle and the top hand drawer on the front of the base towards the left hand side (see photo) a long time ago. There is a small "shake" to the veneer on the middlde drawer in the bottom left hand corner. The back, bracket feet and brass escutcheons are all original. The Georgian brass swan neck handles are original which are very rare. Free of active worm-worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
