George II oak coffer chest

A magnificent George II oak coffer chest (circa 1750).
This beautiful solid oak mule chest features a lift up top which reveals an internal shelf and small candle box.
The candle box has two secret drawers.
The chest is in a beautiful rich chestnut colour.
It has its original drawers to base and its original bracket feet.
During its lifetime (probably during the Victorian period), it has been converted into a small sideboard by utilising the central panel of the mule chest making it a more practical and useful piece of antique furniture.
It would be ideal used as a small sideboard in any country residence.
