French Walnut And Marble Top Serpentine Commode
Good quality and well proportioned French walnut and marble top serpentine commode with string inlay. And brass ormolu mounts, circa 1930 and in good condition.
The shaped marble top is spectacular with wonderful colour and grain, the moulded edge matching that of the serpentine front and sides.
The three full width drawers run well and offer good storage space, along with working lock and key.
Good decorative chest of drawers, but practical too!
Measuring:
32 inches or 81.5 cm high
47 1/4 inches or 120 cm wide
19 1/2 inches or 49.5 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
