This little blown glass lacemaker's lamp originated in France and has been part of my own collection for years. It's slightly wonky which adds to it's charm. The stem is hollow and it has a polished pontil. These lamps were really lenses as the bulb was filled with water and placed by a candle. They are always known as lace maker's lamps but could have been used for any purpose. This one dates to the early/mid 19th century and stands 6 1/4" tall. No chips or damage. I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
I regret that due to current regulations I am unable to ship ivory items to the United States, even though all items are CITES compliant.
