French Carved Oak Wall Clock
A stunning French carved oak round wall antique clock by Japy Freres. This delightfully unusual piece has a nicely carved outer bezel to the case which surrounds a convex glass covering the oak face which also has a decorative leaf design carved into a central section. the Roman numerals and moon hands are painted white which gives a really nice contrast against the dark wooden background. The movement is a mechanical 8-day striking piece, which has been fully serviced and in full working order. c1880
