English 19th Century Two Door Sideboard
Good quality English 19th century two door mahogany sideboard, circa 1840.
Unusual proportions being a little larger than a typical chiffonier but smaller than a typical sideboard cabinet.
Great piece for using as a generous drinks cabinet, with its original cellerette drawer and two shelves for storage.
Arched moulding door panels and shaped drawer fronts give it a little decorative flair.
Good condition, having aged gracefully and with a lovely mellow mahogany tone.
Measuring:
36 1/2 inches or 93 cm high
54 inches or 137 cm wide top
53 inches or 135 cm wide at the plinth base
21 1/2 inches or 54.5 cm deep
15 inches or 38 cm high bottom shelf
9 inches or 23 cm high top shelf Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
