Edwards & Roberts Inlaid Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet
A fine quality late Victorian period inlaid mahogany bookcase cabinet by the prestigious firm of cabinet makers Edwards and Roberts of London. Made from the highest grade of solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. Decorated with inlaid foliate detailing throughout. The glazed top section has a pair of doors (lockable, key supplied) which open to access an interior with adjustable shelving. This is surmounted by a cornice of broken-arch swan neck form centred with a brass finial. The base is of serpentine fronted form and has a pair of drawers fitted with their original solid brass handles. All standing on long, elegant out swept legs, united by an under-tier. Offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. Spits into 3 sections for ease of installation.
