Edwardian Large Carved Light Oak Corner Cabinet
A lovely Edwardian corner display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.
The cabinet is supplied in two sections, the top display section and a base section.
The top display area has two side hinged leaded bevelled glass doors with a central carving above. There is a lower shelf area with a mirrored back.
The top cupboard interior is fitted with a fixed position shelf.
The base section has a central drawer fitted with a brass drop handle over a cupboard with two side hinged carved panel doors.
Both top and bottom section right hand doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied), the left hand doors have a mid height catch. The doors all have brass escutcheons, the left hand ones are dummy locks.
The cabinet has an overall height of 81.5" (207cm), a width of 47" (120cm) and a depth of 32.5" (83cm) from the back corner to the outer edge.
The base has a table top height of 40.5” (103cm).
This lovely corner display cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear to the lead in the glazed doors and the top cupboard internal base is slightly warped. The top of the base has some minor marks, and there is some very minor wear to some edges. There are some marks internally to the base cupboard and an age gap to the base.
This remains a very stylish and elegant corner display cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
