Edwardian Arts & Crafts Copper & Brass Cake Stand
We have for sale a very decorative Edwardian copper and brass cake stand.
This cake stand consists of a 3 legged brass stand each extending to three central brass cake holders into which fit a copper cake plate. The legs of the stand are each decorated towards their tops with what looks like a wrought brass B and then continue upwards to an apical joint finished with a brass finial. Each of the three round cake plates are identical being made of a heavy grade copper with a rope effect border applied copper border. The cake stand probably dates to somewhere around 1905.
The cake stand is approximately 33 inches (84cm) high and 10 inches (25cm) wide. the brass stand is in an excellent condition and the cake plates are in a very good to excellent condition, although one plate does have a slight lifting of the rope like decoration at the rim.
