early George III walnut chest
Dating from around 1780 this well figured chest of good colour has 2 short over 3 long drawers.
The top is broadly crossbanded with herringbone inlay and striking book-matched veneers, the drawers are similarly crossbanded with brass escutcheons and swan neck handles, the sides also have well figured veneers.
The whole raised on bracket feet and restored (with later backboards) with a traditional french polished finish.
