Early 19th C Mahogany Partners Writing Table 19th-century Regency period mahogany %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A very fine early 19th-century Regency period mahogany partners library writing table. Constructed from solid mahogany, it features a moulded edge with ebony stringing throughout. The rectangular top, with rounded moulded corners, showcases a beautifully patinated green tooled leather inset. Beneath are six mahogany-lined drawers, three on each side, all retaining their original brass turned knob handles, working locks, and a functioning key. The elegant table is raised on end supports, with reeded splayed sabre legs that terminate in brass caps and original brass castors. Made in England, circa 1800, this writing table boasts a rich mahogany brown colour and is in superb original condition.
