Here we have a fine quality Victorian Walnut Arts and Crafts 3 part desk by James Shoolbred & Co c1880. As you can see the desk has great colour and patina. There is a beautiful tooled and gilded leather skiver to the top with a shallow border and a moulded edge. James Shoolbred were known for fine quality antique furniture and this desk is no exception. There are three drawers to the top and three to each pedestal. The drawers have original brass handles and reeded decoration to the fronts. The drawer fronts are solid Walnut with Mahogany lined drawers. There are handcut dovetail joints and internal bases. The pedestals sit on lovely brass casters below plinth bases. The rear of the desk is finished. A super quality period desk in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 137 cm wide 76 cm deep 78 cm high. Kneehole 62 cm high 56 cm wide.
