Here we have a wonderful small Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport desk c1840. As you can see the desk has a lovely warm nutty colour and patina. The original leather skiver appears to be in place and has lovely patina. There is a burr and figured Walnut border around the rising lid. There are two internal drawers with Cedar linings and hand cut dovetail joints. There is a cupboard door to one side which opens to reveal a bank of fine quality drawers. There is also a side slide for extra work space and a pull out drawer for ink and pens. There are beautiful Walnut panels to the rear and sides with perfectly executed barley twist column supports. The whole sits on squashed bun feet and casters, A super quality davenport in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 89 cm high 50 cm wide 49 cm deep.
