Here we have a very rare and outstanding George II Padouk chest c1750. As you can see the chest has fantastic colour and patina. There is a remarkable single plank domed top with incredible grain and colour. There are wonderful brass protective bands to the corners which are all constructed with hand cut dovetail joints. There is a cavernous interior with beautiful strap hinges. There are two drawers below again with hand cut dovetail joints and original bat wing back plates and swan neck handles. There are also the same handles to the ends for ease of carrying. The whole sits on bracket feet and original brass casters. A truly wonderful chest in fantastic condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 146 cm wide 71 cm high 64 cm deep.
