An excellent quality Victorian carved oak coffer, of 17th century design.

c1890.

The three planked moulded edge top is above a pretty lunette carved frieze rail, over a three raised panelled front, with lovely crisp carved decoration to the legs and sides.

Lovely dark oak colour with a good patina.

Original lock, no key.

This exceptional, high quality 19th century coffer, has a very useful custom made oak tray, which is original to the coffer, offering an extra layer for storage for smaller items etc.

The overall condition is excellent antique condition. With general but very minimal signs of use.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

Bees-waxed and polished.
