An attractive piece of early 19th.c. Biedermeier in the shape of this large and useful 'commode' or chest of drawers c.1820. As is typical of the style, applied decoration and brass work is forgoed, whilst attention is focused on the decorative quality of the matched flame mahogany veneers. With five oak lined drawers, original black marble top and original feet.
