Here we have this Antique teak military chest.
The trunk would have been used by a British officer to transport his uniforms, personal items, and more valuable pieces around the Empire.
Having flush brass corners and straps to protect this chest on its journey. As these were likely to be lashed to decks teak was used, as this timber is resistant to water and also insects in the tropical countries.
The lid lifts open to reveal an open storage area, imagine how much you could store in this trunk.
