This is a really pretty pair of most unusual Japanese hand painted dishes dating from the Meiji period, circa 1870.
The dishes are both in pressed metal with onlaid floral details to the outer borders all beautifully hand painted in stunning bold colours.
The centrally embossed vases of flowers are in the classic Japanese style and are also beautifully hand painted.
A really quite rare and lovely pair that display beautifully.
The dishes measure 15 cms in diameter by 1.5 cms high.
