This is a delightful 19th century Swedish wedding chest on stand with the most beautiful original paint finish. The hand painted chest is in a deep teal blue which has a wonderful rich antique colour and patina. The chest has its original, characterful hand forged metal hasp as well as the original hinges all in very good order. The chest is crafted in pinewood which has the usual old signs of historic worm activity, long extinct, and now just adding to the character of the piece. This is a really charming antique chest with the most glorious colour that would also be a very practical and useful item in the home.

The chest measures 89 cms wide 49 cms deep and 56 cms high on the stand.
