Antique French style cylinder top bureau in Kingwood with floral marquetry, various inlays & rosewood crossbandings. It also has gilt mounts, handles & escutcheons. This bureau is in good original condition & I would date it to around the 1930-50's period. The interior of this bureau is very intricate, with drawers, cupboards & a middle compartment. There is also a pull out slide which provides an extra writing surface. There are many more fine features on this piece, so please enlarge all the images. Please note there is another very similar bureau on the site at the moment, which was completely re-polished, so it has a richer darker colour. Other than that, they are the same model.
