Small antique French marble top two drawer chest on shaped legs with a serpentine shaped front. The piece is fine quality & has many great features. The marble top is original & has lovely colours within. I believe the wood is mainly Kingwood, walnut & mahogany, with ebonized panels containing stunning marquetry of more exotic woods. It also has abundant gilt bronze mounts & feet, all of which are fine quality & nicely aged. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate all these features. This piece has just had a polish over. We didn't strip it, because it has plenty of character. I would date it to around the 1910-20's period.
