Rare Early Victorian Wash Chest
A rare, restored, Early Victorian, pine wash chest, on shaped carcase sides. A fine, sturdy old pine chest, originally would have been used with a jug and basin as a wash chest, but would make an ideal bedside chest today, or small occasional chest.
The chest is fitted with a 5 1/4" deep, ornate, gallery surround. Drawers with thick timber bases and original applied Georgian bead. Excellent panelled back. A fine restoration of some of the shaped feet, with timber inserts, due to wear.
An excellent old pine chest.
