This is an antique decorative doorstop. An English, cast iron Art Nouveau door keeper, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890.

Attractive and pleasingly substantial door stopper
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Quality cast iron presents a good, consistent graphite finish throughout
Reassuringly heavy at a weight of 4.2kg (9.25 lb)

Rolled loop handle with scrolled motif adjoining the ruffled column detail
Presented in the form of an inverted plume of feathers
Wide, flat base adds to the dependable stability suited to heavy antique doors
Engraved with maker's initials to rear and pattern number
