A 16th century Nuremberg brass repoussé alms dish, having a fantastic rich patina and decorated to the centre with St George astride a horse and trampling the dragon underfoot, all within a band of punch work decoration and a gadrooned border.
Some slight crusting to the top left of the rim - commensurate with age, but otherwise in excellent condition.
