This is a good pair of 19th century candlesticks in the form of rampant lions realistically modelled in cast iron with a nice bronzed patina. The lions are mounted onto a lovely gilt bronze base with attractive cast detail raised on stepped feet. The candlesticks are in super condition and date from around 1860. The pair measure 15 cms high and are 18 cms by 11 cms at the base.
